Installation

• Open the folder with CernVM files and double-click the vmx-file

• Click 'Open'

• Click 'Upgrade'

• After the machine booted, look at the web address on the console and type it into a browser

• Acknowledge the certificate

• Login as 'admin' with password 'password' and follow the web interface to set up CernVM

• Please refer to CernVM First Boot Guide for making the final configuration step (configuring the Virtual Machine for a specific experiment).

Shared Folders

• Go to the settings page of VMware Fusion to add Shared Folders to your CernVM

• Enable shared folders and select one or multiple directories

• Your shared folders appear in CernVM under /mnt/hgfs
